Remember Who You Are
Mark 1:9-15
Ashes to Fire 2012
Memories are a powerful thing. In all of our lives we can look back to moments in time where vivid images, powerful smells and real feelings stirred with us. I remember when I first met my wife, where we had our first kiss, the details of our engagement and many other events since. Memories have the power to rekindle emotions and commitments that may be waning or worse yet, lost.
Mark 1:9-15
Ashes to Fire 2012
Who are you? I am not talking about your name. I am not talking about the collections of your likes or dislikes. I am not really even talking about your personality. Who are you at the core of your being? You are someone that has been created in the image of God. That is correct…you…an image of God. I have found that life has a way of making us forget this reality.
Maybe you have forgotten who you are. Maybe it is time to remember. Maybe it is time to stop letting lesser things get the better of you. It is hard to believe that we have already entered a season of preparing for Easter. What better way to spend your time than to remember who you are, reprioritize your life and give God a chance to let the better things get the best of you.
Over the next 12 weeks we are entering into a season where we will move toward Easter then on to Pentecost Sunday. Will you commit to give God a chance to shape your life in new and powerful ways? Will you commit to give God a chance to speak to you about how He wants to reprioritize your life? I have made those commitments and look forward to walking with you on the way to the cross, the resurrection and beyond.
I have prayed for you today.
Blessings,
Pastor Terry
