MEMBERSHIP CLASS:
For six weeks, Pastor Terry
is teaching a class on the following topics. If you are interested in coming to learn more
about the Church, please come. If you
are interested in becoming a member of the church, this class is required.
By coming to the class you are not obligated to join.
We will be looking to answer the following questions each week…
February 12: Where did the Church of the Nazarene come from? How do Nazarene’s differ in belief from other churches? What administrative structure do we have and why?
February 19: What do we believe about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit? What is the Bible and how do I read it? What is sin?
February 26: How are we saved from sin: A look at atonement, prevenient grace, repentance, justification, regeneration, adoption and sanctification?
March 4: What is the Church and her function? What is Baptism and The Lord’s Supper (or Communion)? What are our views on healing and the Second Coming of Christ?
March 11: What are our views on living a Christian life, marriage, divorce and abortion?
March 18: What are our views on stewardship, human sexuality, discrimination, women in ministry and other cultural topics?
If these topics interest you please come ready to learn about one or all of these issues from 9:30-10:30 on Sunday mornings for these six weeks. If you know you are planning on coming please let Pastor Terry know so he can set up the room accordingly. We will be meeting in Pastor Terry’s office. Plenty of time will be given to allow you to ask questions as well so come see what happens! Be sure to let Pastor know you are coming.
FOUNDATIONS OF OUR FAITH
For twelve weeks, starting March 25th, Ken & Jeanne Scott will be teaching a class designed to help believers have a firm grasp of introductory Christian beliefs. We will learn about the Bible, basic Christian beliefs of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, what it means to live as a Christian and other relevant topics for a disciple. At the conclusion, each person will have a strong foundation for a growing relationship with Christ.
